The Week of the Young Child
is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Learn more here.
The purpose of the Week of the Young Child is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs. Early childhood education is vital to our community. Children need a strong early learning foundation to succeed in school and to succeed in life.
The week of April 11 people around the nation will be celebrating young children. Bright Futures will be celebrating by having dress-up days for your child to participate in and a parade at the end of the week.
Monday, April 11: Sports Day - Wear your favorite sports apparel and hat.
Tuesday, April 12: Workout Day - Wear your workout clothes: sweatpants, sweat arm- and head-bands, running shoes, etc.
Wednesday, April 13: Wacky Day - War everything  wacky and opposite than you normally would: shirt backwards, hair wacky, mismatch clothes, opposite socks and shoes, etc.
Thursday, April 14: Pajama Day - Wear your favorite pajamas.
Friday, April 15: Class Color Day - Wear your black Bright Futures shirt or if you do not have one, wear anything black.
