During a time when there is a nationwide shortage of referees for high school athletics, School Resource Officer, Todd Olinger, hasn't shied away from the challenge. He is headed back to Champaign to officiate games at the Illinois High School Sports Association (IHSA) State Boys Basketball tournament.
This is the second time Olinger has been selected to officiate at the tournament. He stated, "I’m very grateful for this opportunity. To be one of eighteen officials chosen from a pool of thousands, especially two years in a row, is truly a blessing. I’m honored to represent the Galesburg area and look forward to an exciting weekend of high school basketball."
